Diverse cellular strategies for the export of leaderless proteins

چکیده
Unconventional protein export/secretion (UPE/UPS), in contrast to the classical ER-Golgi-dependent of proteins with a leader sequence (signal peptide), employs multiple means release leaderless cargoes (and some special cases, sequence) extracellular space. By far, two major types UPE have been classified, vesicle-independent and vesicle-dependent UPE. In former, can directly translocate across plasma membrane from cytoplasm without assistance vesicle carrier. latter, into lumen which then delivers them out cell through trafficking. Both require unconventional solutions complete secretion. Here, we briefly discuss strategies for cargo release, focusing on key steps UPE: translocation
